I honestly couldn’t believe how much more dust and pet hair this picked up from a carpet I thought was already clean. The performance is in a whole different league.
The suction is properly strong – exactly what we were after. And given the power, it’s no louder than your average vacuum. But the real game-changer is the design. The Lift-Away feature makes doing the stairs an absolute doddle – no more awkward wrestling with the whole machine.

This vacuum really delivers where it counts. The suction is proper powerful – so much so that you'll notice it takes a bit more effort to push across thick carpets. The long cord is brilliant for moving between rooms without constantly changing sockets, and emptying is dead easy.
The built-in air freshener is a nice touch, and I found it really manoeuvrable – the head turns smoothly making it easy to get into awkward spots. The handheld attachment works a treat on higher-pile rugs where the main suction would be too strong. Honestly, my floors have never looked cleaner – even compared to my old Vax. With three Labradors shedding constantly, it handles pet hair like a champ.

Yes, it’s definitely weighty and takes some effort to push – especially on carpet. The cable being on the right can also feel a bit awkward (though left-handed users might love it!).
I switched from a cordless model after moving to a place with carpets – wanted proper suction after my previous cleaner gave up. And wow – the amount of dirt this thing pulled out of the carpet was honestly shocking (in a good way!). I live with one cat and didn’t realise how much my old vacuum was leaving behind.
It does struggle a bit with finer debris like cat litter, and as others mentioned, it can grab lighter rugs. Using the pet attachment helps avoid that though.
All in all, it does a great job cleaning, though if I had the chance again I might go for something lighter. That said, no plans to return it – it’s still a really effective cleaner!

I’ve been using a basic two-slice toaster for years, so the main reason I wanted to upgrade was simple: sometimes I just really want three slices of toast.
Straight out of the box, this toaster looks exactly what it is – affordable and no-frills. It doesn’t have the polished look of more expensive branded models, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. The controls are straightforward and do what they’re supposed to. The slots are nice and wide, easily accommodating thick bread – although every now and then the lever needs a bit of a nudge to rise fully.
It offers a good range of browning levels, though it did take a couple of tries to find my preferred setting. Once you do, it toasts consistently – although I did notice that if you run it again on the same setting immediately after, it comes out darker.
It also includes removable racks for croissants or pastries. I haven’t used them yet, but they click in easily and seem practical. Crumb trays slide out smoothly for cleaning when needed.
